EW JET Presents Aluminum-Ammonia Heat Pipe Research at THERMINIC 2026

EW JET PRODUCTS presented “Thermal Performance Evaluation of Aluminum-Ammonia Heat Pipes for High-Power Electronics Cooling” at THERMINIC 2026. The research team included Reyhan Athalla, Van-Hoan Vu, and Ho-Chuan Lin.

The study examined thermal performance across different heat inputs and installation orientations. Under the reported 0 °C test condition, the horizontal assembly sustained 900 W, with dry-out beginning at the 1,000 W test step. With a 3° tilt, the assembly reached 1,700 W.

These results demonstrate the importance of installation orientation in supporting liquid return through the axial-groove wick and improving heat transport performance.
