Generation 2

PCM2

The PCM2 is EW JET's second-generation phase change material thermal storage board. Designed for pulsed-power satellite payloads, it absorbs heat during peak operation by melting and releases it during idle periods by solidifying — entirely passively, with no power draw and no moving parts. Contact our engineering team for the current datasheet, phase change temperature, and capacity specifications.

Technology

Peak Load Absorption

During high-power operation the PCM absorbs excess heat by melting — keeping component temperatures stable without active cooling or power budget impact.

Passive Heat Release

Between active cycles the stored heat is released as the PCM solidifies, ready for the next peak load event with no external intervention.

No Power, No Moving Parts

Entirely passive — no pump, no fan, no electronics. Ideal for space environments where power budget and reliability are critical.

Space-Grade Construction

Materials selected for vacuum compatibility, outgassing compliance, and long mission life — consistent with EW JET's space-grade manufacturing standards.

Applications

Pulsed-Power Payloads

Absorb heat during short bursts of high-power transmission or sensing without active cooling or power budget impact.

GEO / LEO Satellites

Buffer thermal loads across orbit-eclipse cycles — passive, reliable, with no maintenance access needed for 15+ year missions.

Edge AI Systems

Smooth intermittent compute spikes in compact, fanless enclosures where passive thermal management is required.
